Everyday graces
Things I'm thankful for today:
The sweet-scented osmanthus, which is blooming and covering the pig-farm stink the Yangtze river-wind has lately been blowing in from the north
A surprise lesson with my favorite new Chinese teacher: I had asked another student to teach me this week, but at the last minute she found out about a meeting this afternoon she had to go to
A cute email from a Chinese friend who is in Nanjing right now
Motivated students
A week of vacation starting Saturday

Quite often I think of little every day things for which I am thankful--sometimes present and sometime past.
One of my favorites is the memory I have of ice skating fast on a cold winter day (or a warmer sunny one) in Bozeman.
Some fun favorites are of you four oldest grandchildren and me
having fun, happy times when you were little. I can still hear the laughter as we all enjoyed each other.
I thank the Lord often that although I was not married for very
long to your Grandpa Bob, I have experienced the strong, true
love of a Good Man.

Good to be thankful. I liked the little "Mrs. Ge" story too. I'll try to drop in from time to time, as i did in the past, just didn't leave evidence. :-p . . .
